Abstract:

The report documents results of a 12 month effort in Russian-English machine translation R and D. The effort was directed at development of the SYSTRAN System programmed in IBM 360 assembler language and implementable on any IBM 360 with a minimum of 256K byte core storage and requisite IO media. The System now consists of four translation preparation programs ready for testing eleven translation programs ready for testing seventeen support program including three partly tested and two completely tested and eight macro programs including five completely tested.
