Abstract:
The determination of the concentration of a substance which is calculated on the basis of an area limited by a chromatographical curve, is correct only when the properties of the vapors of the analyzed substance and of the carrier gas are additive, and the concentration of the substance in the gas is low. When the determination is based on properties that are a function of the dynamic properties of the substance viscosity, thermal conductivity, diffusion a correction factor should be used. Author
