THE JOINING OF DISSIMILAR METALS
Abstract:
In the report, the dissimilar-metal joining between the following metals and alloys is emphasized 1 aluminum, titanium, and beryllium, and their alloys, 2 refractory metals and alloys, and 3 high-strength steels and other high-strength, heat-resistant alloys. Dissimilar-metal joints in structures having aerospace applications are emphasized. Joining technology is discussed in the following major sections 1 Joining dissimilar ferrous metals 2 Joining nonferrous to ferrous metals 3 Joining dissimilar nonferrous metals. Author
