Abstract:

The report is a summary of information gathered in liaison visits to a number of German meteorological institutes and the German Weather Service. Part I of the report contains a description of the educational programs and the research being conducted at the Technische Hochschule in Darmstadt, the Johannes Gutenberg-Universitat in Mainz, the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universitat in Frankfurt, and the Free University in West Berlin. The report also includes a brief account of the research program of the German Weather Service. Author
