Abstract:
This report describes an experimental technique for optical detection of small mechanical displacements at high frequencies by use of a short Fabry-Perot resonator length typically 0.5mm with one moving mirror, illuminated by a laser. Preliminary results allowed detection of approximately 1A movement at 5 Mcs and theory limits the detection of approximately 0.01A.
