ANALYSIS OF RADA SYSTEM VOLUME I. RELIABILITY/EFFECTIVENESS AND EQUIPMENT SIZE AND WEIGHT.

reportActive / Technical Report | Accession Number: AD0819509 | Need Help?

Abstract:

An analysis was performed of system operational effectiveness and weight and size requirements for the ultimate Random Access Discrete Address RADA communication system. In performance of this analysis, an equipment reliability prediction program, RAP, was developed and implemented on the GE 235 Time-Sharing System, and a general-purpose system effectiveness program, SEEAN-II, was employed. The principal results of this study indicate that the system will meet its performance requirements of completing a call on the first try and having tactical availability despite the high rate at which maintenance activity is required. Since the ultimate Basic Subscriber Unit BSU and Retransmission Unit RTU re both heavier than specification requirements, they will need some change of design and materials to bring them within requirements.
