Abstract:

The objective is to test the E-5 Main Parachute Riser Trough under conditions simulating actual loading conditions. The load conditions shall simulate stripping velocities and will be conducted at ambient temperatures and at elevated temperatures. The elevated temperature condition shall duplicate as closely as possible the skin heating effect on the trough, riser and protective covering.
