Certain Properties of Pressed Aluminum Eutectic Alloys,

reportActive / Technical Report | Accession Number: AD0785979 | Need Help?

Abstract:

This work evaluates the possibility of obtaining fibrous structures in aluminum eutectic alloys by pressing. Certain mechanical and physical properties of the pressed alloys are determined. One can produce a fibrous structure in Al--Al3Mg2 alloy by hot pressing and annealing. The best strength properties for room temperature in a hot-pressed state were in such alloys as Al--Al3Mg2, Al--Al2Cu, Al--MgZn2 and Al--Al2CuMg. The coefficient of ultrasonic damping of eutectic aluminum alloys is low and gets worse as a result of annealing.
