Abstract:

By means of steam cleaning equipment, oil-containing soilage on vehicles and vehicle components as well as a variety of dirt is removed and surfaces that are to be subjected to a paint treatment are cleaned. The equipment is mobile. The equipment is attached to a stationary compressed air outlet and to a water system and the alternating current power line. Cleaning is done with the wet steam or hot water coming out of a steam lance. The softened impurities are removed from the treated surfaces by the cleaning agent contained in the water and the mechanical action of the steam. The steam lance is a long thin pipe with which all difficult-to-reach places of the vehicles can be cleaned. Hot water is generated by the burning of fuel.
