Abstract:

The goals of the contract were to integrate a multivariable testing machine and a small digital computer and to carry out research on Interfacing of computer and testing equipment Developing fundamental procedures for the automatic control of material testing Creating man-machine interactions programs for the testing environment and, Applying such man-machine techniques to perform materials research useful in the analysis of deformation and strength response of anisotropic solids.
