Possible Role of Nucleotidases in Subcutaneous Calcification.
Abstract:
The calcium complexes of purine and pyrimidine nucleotides were evaluated in terms of their ability to initiate subcutaneous calcification in vivo. Of the calcium-nucleotide complexes tested, CaATP was most potent. CaTTP and CaGTP were considerably less effective than CaATP, and CaCTP, CaUTP and CaITP were ineffective. These data imply a specificity for CaATP in this phenomenon. Author
