Abstract:

A silver catalyst, used for activation of the water repellent electrodes of fuel cells, was prepared by etching an AG based binary alloy with alkalies. To increase the extended surface of the catalyst and to improve its electrochemical characteristics, an AG-LI alloy containing LI 10-95 weight percent was used.
