Abstract:

A literature review was performed to determine what work has been done to date in developing an improved altimeter. Most of the previous studies have been comparisons of different types of altimeters e.g., counter drum pointer versus counter pointer. These tests have a drawback in that the results may have been biased by an altimeter which was a poor representative of its particular type. Author
