Investigation of the Effect of Furacilin (Nitrofurazone) and Certain Antibiotics on the Development of 'Pen. nigricans Thom' and Extraneous Microflora in the Process of Griseofulvin Biosynthesis,
Abstract:
In the entire process of production of biologicals the greatest attention is paid to measures which make it possible to carry out the technological process under sterile conditions. Laboratory experiments were carried out to determine the effect of various antibiotics and of furacilin nitrofurazone on the development of the griseofulvin producer and foreign microflora. The following antibiotics can be used for sterile fermentation of penicullium nigricans levomycetin 10, 20, 40 unitsmz, the potassium salt of penicillin 40, 60 unitsmz, streptomycin 50 unitsmz, and a mixture of penicillin and streptomycin, 50 unitsmz each.
