Study of the Skin Irritating and Allergenic Effect of Clothing Made of Synthetic Fibers,
Abstract:
There are numerous descriptions of cases of allergic and contact dermatitis in persons wearing clothing made from synthetic fibres. The authors studied the effect of polyamide knitted cloth shirts and blouses - caprone, nylon-66, and anide the product of polymerization of hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid during test wearing, as well as the effect of chemical components which migrate out of caprone and anide synthetic materials onto the skin of experimental animals. The results of the research demonstrated that caprone and anide cloths cause sensitization of the organism. The allergic condition is not always accomapnied by localized manifestations.
