Support Systems to Deliver and Maintain Oil Recovery Systems and Dispose of Recovered Oil.
Abstract:
The task consisted of an investigation into three separate problem areas associated with oil spills on the High Seas a Determine the optimum transfer systems for use in the oil recovery operation at sea, including suitable vessels for receiving the oil and their availability in numbers and location b determination of the oil tanker traffic on the High Seas and particularly the coastal waters of the United States in order to establish future requirements for oil cleanup systems and their most suitable locations and c ultimate disposal of recovered oil including study of techniques available and the effectiveness and feasibility of each. In connection with a and c the debris-filled oil recovery and disposal problem was studied. Author
