Abstract:

Clinical otitis externa, swimmers ear, has a multiplex etiology predisposed by water, trauma or an imbalance in the microbial flora of the ear canal. The most common microbial pathogen causing swimmers ear is Pseudomonas aeruginosa, although other Gram negative bacteria may produce this disease.
