Abstract:

Dual beam electron gun design studies were completed. The initial design determined in the electrolytic tank and electron trajectories along with beam characteristics were evaluated using a digital computer program. An experimental gun was designed, constructed and evaluated using a demountable electrostatic beam analyzer. Experimentally measured beam characteristics were found to be similar to theoretically predicted valves. Circuit match studies were conducted. Modified author abstract
