Abstract:

The report discusses research on resynthesizing known aliphatic polybenzimidazoles for characterization since initial scans of formic acid complexes of polyoctamethylene bibenzimidazole seemed to show dielectric anomalies. Polymer films of polyoctamethylene bibenzimidazole were cast from formic acid. Dielectric measurements were made on gold shadowed films, with and without blocking the electrodes.
