Abstract:

Several new families of substituted DEXSIL carborane polymers are prepared in the course of efforts directed toward the development of solvent resistant elastomers polymers for leaving group studies RTV ELASTOMERS and high molecular weight DEXSIL 300 gumstock. In addition, a new synthetic pathway is developed and its general utility is demonstrated by the synthesis of a wide variety of structurally modified polymers using only dianilido silanes and standard DEXSIL monomers.
