The Effect of the Problem-Oriented Medical Record on Comprehensiveness of Care as Reflected in the Clinical Record.
Abstract:
The introduction of the problem-oriented medical record POMR system on the inpatient service of the Department of Medicine presented a unique opportunity to study the extent of actual utilization of the POMR, look for evidence of increase in proficiency in use of the system over time, and evaluate evidence of increased quality and comprehensiveness of care as reflected in the records themselves. This study examines the efficiency of this system.
