Gas-Discharge Instrument,

reportActive / Technical Report | Accession Number: AD0758043 | Need Help?

Abstract:

Gas-discharge instruments are known, in particular arresters in which a mixture of oxygen gas and carbon dioxide gases 47 O2 53 CO2 under a pressure close to atmospheric pressure is used as the filler. A shortcoming of arresters with such a filler is the great spread of the breakdown voltage with a change in ambient temperature and low durability. The proposed instrument differs from the one known in that an addition of water vapor is introduced into its filler which permits raising the stability of the breakdown voltage and increasing the durability of the instrument.
