Experimental Capabilities of the ARL Sediment Tank Facility in the Study of Buried Object Detection.
Abstract:
An underwater acoustics research tank at Applied Research Laboratories has been modified for use in research pertaining to the detection of objects buried in a water-filled sand. Parameter and design data on this facility are presented for both linear and parametric acoustic measurements. It is shown that a wide range of acoustic parameters can be used in the simulation of in situ conditions. Author
