Explosive-Driven EMP Generator

Abstract:

The feasibility of radiating large quantities of energy from a satellite is discussed. A system comprised of an explosive generator source, switching and matching networks, and a bent-dipole antenna is theoretically analyzed. The calculations indicate that an electric field of 4000 Vm can be produced at a distance of 1 mile from the source.
