Abstract:
The report provides an overall appraisal of deep port needs for the United States by means of identification of the factors critical to U. S. deepwater port decision development of criteria appropriate to the evaluation of engineering, economic and environmental aspects of deep port needs and policies, analysis of the development options available at this time and the critical issues surrounding each and the identification of critical issues which need further analysis. The study emphasizes port requirements for bulk commodities. Author
