The Thermal Conductivity of Gases at High Temperatures,
Abstract:
The thermal conductivity of air and nitrogen was found subject to a linear dependence from 100C to 200C. The dependence of the coefficients of thermal conductivity of the investigated gases on temperature is subject, with an error not exceeding 0.40, to the Sutherland law. The absolute value of the extrapolated coefficient of thermal conductivity of air at 0C for narrow tubes is very close to the coefficient obtained by Timrot and Vargaftik, and coincides with the coefficient found by S. Weber. The coefficient obtained for wide tubes is close to the value given by Schneider.
