Influence of Diffusion Coatings on Steel Product Strength,
Abstract:
The effect of galvanic and principally of diffusion coatings of steel products on their short-term static and fatigue strength in air and in certain working media is examined. The role of residual stresses is examined and a new classification of them is proposed. It is shown possible to cure crack-type defects by means of diffusion metallization and restoration of the integrity and strength of defective parts. Certain methods of intensifying the processes of diffusion saturation are offered. Author
