Research with the following goals is briefly summarized To improve the facility available for the preparation of well-characterized compounds involving the transition metals and the group VB and VIB elements To continue to develop new methods for the crystal growth of these compounds and To study the effect of anion substitution, as well as the role of non-stoichiometry on the magnetic and electrical properties of these materials.
