Engineering Evaluation Study of Environmental Conditioning Systems for High Pressure Research Vessels

Abstract:

The main purpose of this investigation was to select a system for the 170 atmosphere High Pressure Research Facility at the Department of Physiology - State University of New York at Buffalo. A combination low temperature dehumidification followed by low temperature adsorption of water then adsorption of carbon dioxide appears to be best suited for this application. Data and references are included in the report to permit the reader to evaluate other design conditions.
