MIS Technology: A View of the Future.
Abstract:
In spite of vast expenditures and increasing dependency on computer technology for information processing in organizations the results achieved to date have been less than spectacular. Although industry aspirations were high, computers have not been able to do all that was expected of them. But the computer, per se, is only one aspect in the technology of management information systems. This discussion examines the perceived dimensions of the technological gap in MIS today, the remedies under development to close it, and some perspectives on the future outlook. Author
