Abstract:

The results of laboratory tests performed on three standard soil samples by U. S. Army Engineer Division laboratories are presented and analyzed in this report. Laboratory tests performed were Atterberg limits, specific gravity, grain-size analysis, standard effort compaction, and R triaxial compression tests with pore pressure measurements. The procedure used were those specified in the latest test manuals as modified by the 1963 Division Soils Laboratory Conference.
