Arrestment of Incipient Dental Caries in Adults Following Multiple Stannous Fluoride Therapy.

The objective of this dental caries clinical study was to determine the effect of multiple topical stannous fluoride therapy upon the rate of progression of carious lesions in two groups of young adults comparable in age to men entering the U.S. Army. The objectives of the laboratory studies were to examine tin and fluoride dynamics on freshly extracted bovine teeth having incipient carious lesions.
