Effect of Environmental and Artificial Conditioning on Composite Tube of M72 Law Launcher,
Abstract:
The report is concerned with anistropic material degradation from environmental and artificially induced conditions. The test samples used are new and used tubes from M72 LAW Launchers and the manufacturer. Hydrostatic burst tests did not reveal material degradation from the imposed environmental conditions, but degradation from paint is shown. It is also shown that these tubes have a self-sealing characteristic resulting from their type of construction. Author
