Rare Earth Semiconductors and Semimetals; Electric, Magnetic and Crystal Properties.
Abstract:
The magnetic properties of hexagonal rare earth silicides and germanides and their solid solutions were investigated. The magnetic structures are helical spin arrangements. Substitution of one rare earth element for another proceeds by filling one crystallographic site completely and then substitution in the other site begins. The crystal chemistry of several chalcogenide compounds has been investigated to test a theory which permitted the prediction of crystal structures for a given combination of elements. Author
