Abstract:

A magnetic field exceeding 50-100 k0e is usually called a strong magnetic field. Fields of such magnitude are used primarily for the conducting of the most diverse experiments in physics and related fields of sciences. Extremely strong magnets are used as an inseparable part of various instruments and devices which cannot operate without a strong field. The article discusses basic methods of obtaining strong fields. Author
