Aerohydrodynamic Calculations of Poorly Streamlined Ship Designs,
Abstract:
The book is intended for a wide circle of engineers and technicians engaged in the study and design of poorly-streamlined structures. It may be used as a textbook for calculating aerodynamic forces acting on a poorly-streamlined surface and submerged ship structures. The experimental and theoretical data on the aerohydrodynamics of poorly-streamlined structures may also be useful in other related fields. Results of experimental and theoretical investigations of the aerohydrodynamics of poorly-streamlined structures are presented in a generalized form. Many experimental data on drag forces and periodic forces acting on various poorly-streamlined structures via gaseous or liquid fluxes are given and methods of approximating drag calculations are developed.
