Abstract:

The report covers the evaluation of the nuclear density and moisture method for possible use in military construction. One type of soil was used in the testing. A test fill was constructed and sub-divided into 30 testing locations. Two types of commercial nuclear testers were used. The nuclear testers were evaluated against the conventional density method sand cone and conventional moisture oven dry. Four different nuclear density measurement methods were used. Author
