COMAP: A Conversational Macro Package for the IBM 2250,
Abstract:
COMAP is a programming tool directed toward the assembly language programmer. COMAP, a set of assembly language macros, enables the programmer to utilize the 2250 graphics display as a conversational tool with a minimum of knowledge of the display device itself. Through the use of the macros provided by COMAP the programmer or producer of statistical conversational units can handle automatic control and formatting of the output display, dynamic memory allocation and storage of input messages from the keyboard, maintenance of internal tables and control blocks, buffer management in the graphics display controller, basic attention handling.
