The General Incongruity Adaptation Level (GIAL).
Abstract:
The paper discusses a number of theories of cognitive motivation, investigates the degree to which they are able to predict behavior, and finally advances an integrative theory that accounts for conflicting data. Specific predictions for a test of the integrative GIAL theory are made. The research and theory for the GIAL concept is concerned with complex decision making settings with relevance to multidimensional settings as they occur in military decision making. Author
