Abstract:

The assessment of employee attitudes has been considered similar to taking the collective pulse of the organization. Methods and procedures for doing this kind of survey have varied greatly from one study to another. Some of the more important considerations item format, measuring specific factors, psychometric properties of scales - Reliability, Validity connection with doing attitude surveys are reviewed. It is argued that both the importance of the topic and the satisfaction with the topic must be measured in order to obtain the most useful survey information. An illustrative procedure is presented along with possible attitude scales.
