HEAT EXCHANGERS IN NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS,
Abstract:
The development of vertical steam generators with a group of heating tubes located in a water-filled space began with the creation of the steam generators for the first nuclear power plant in the USSR, commissioned in 1954. Further development of this type of steam generator was accomplished successfully in the USSR and abroad. Today, steam generators are being built that have a per unit rating up to 250 MW electrical rating. The report discusses the major development stages of this type of steam generator and the performance characteristics that were achieved. Author
