ADJUSTMENT OF RETIRED AIR FORCE OFFICERS.
Abstract:
During the rapid military mobilization of World War 2, millions of men and women entered the Armed Forces who would not have done so if there had been no national crisis. Many of these individuals decided to remain in military service after the end of the War and a substantial number eventually decided to make their career in the Armed Forces. Since the advent of the decade of the sixties thousands of these persons have become eligible for retirement by virtue of having completed twenty years of active duty. The impact of military retirement can be studied from at least three different foci its impact upon society, its impact upon the military establishment, and its impact upon the retiree himself. This study is being limited to the impact of retirement upon the military retiree and more specifically to the retired Air Force officer. Author
