Abstract:

A green acrylic filter made from 316-inch plexiglass was tested with a DCB-24R Searchlight Beacon with 1000-watt and 2000-watt tungsten-halogen lamps. The tests yielded a transmissivity in excess of fifty percent, a chromaticity too pale to qualify as a Signal Green, and high temperature effects on the acrylic filter. Author
