AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SIMULATION MODEL EXPLORATORY STUDY.
Abstract:
The problem of simulating the flow of air traffic within a large region of the continental U.S. air traffic control system using the General Purpose Systems Simulator GPSS computer programming language has been addressed. A simple small-scale model was developed. Results indicated that straight forward extension of the simple model would provide a useful simulation tool for air traffic control system analysis. Computer running time estimates for several large-scale problems are provided. Author
