Abstract:

Silicate paints can be prepared from high-modulus silicate of potassium, fillers, diluents, and pigments. The quality of the paints is improved by using as additives potassium salts of napthenic acids, derived from petroleum refining, andor salts of synthetic fatty acids containing from 16 to 28 carbon atoms in a molecule.
