Abstract:

The problem of the axisymmetric excitation of a finite cylinder with variable surface impedance along the generating line is solved by the method of integral equations of the first kind with different variation regions of the observation and integration points. The cylinder is excited by a transverse circular slot with zero variation along the azimuthal coordinate of the external electric field intensity. The procedure for obtaining the integral equation and the method of solving it are shown, and design formulas are given. The results of current distribution calculations on a cylinder with an inductive reactance band are shown with linearly varying inductive reactance as well as with changing square-law active impedance. The radiation patterns are shown for linearly increasing and linearly decreasing impedance change laws. Author
