BRITTLENESS AND PLASTICITY OF HEAT-RESISTANT MATERIALS,

reportActive / Technical Report | Accession Number: AD0696280 | Need Help?

Abstract:

The book deals with the causes of brittle failure of parts working at high temperatures and also with certain factors leading to such failures and their development for instance heat treatment, material structure, strain hardening, direction of fiber in rolled metal, welding conditions and stresses. Methods of determining the susceptibility of steels and alloys to embrittlement at high temperatures are described. Data on the deformation capacity under various conditions of the principal heat-resistant steels and alloys used in power machinery are presented. Author
