ANTIMICROBIC PROPERTIES OF THE SALICYLANILIDE AND ITS DERIVATIVES,
Abstract:
Anilides of organic acids, especially salicyclic anilide and its derivatives have been studied intensively as antimicrobic preparations. A review of their activity on mold fungi is given, and their different properties cited. The activity of salicyl anilides on dermatocetes and pathogenic yeasts is presented. Data about antibacterial activity of these compounds are analyzed. Some of these compounds are already used in various branches of the national economy and in medicine. Considerations relative to the mechanism of antimicrobic activity of these compounds are cited in addition. Author
