A PROBABILISTIC INTERPRETATION OF MINER'S RULE-II
Abstract:
An attempt is made to find physically realizable conditions under which both upper and lower bounds on the expected number of cycles until failure can be found and expressed by a formula which is a generalization of a variant of Miners rule. It is concluded that a variation of Miners rule gives a conservative lower bound for the expected number of cycles until failure under very general conditions.
