STUDY OF INFRARED ABSORPTION SPECTRA OF POLYMERS BASED ON BISPHENOLS AND FORMALDEHYDE DURING THEIR HARDENING AND THERMAL DEGRADATION,
Abstract:
The IR spectra was used to study the processes occurring in polymers based on 1,6-bisp-oxyphenylhexane, 1,8-bisp-oxyphenyl octane, 1,10-bisp-oxyphenyl decane, and 1,1-bisp-oxyphenyl cyclohexane during their hardening and thermal degradation. Polymer specimens were obtained in the form of films on NaC1 plates from a solution in acetone and then were hardened by sequential heating in the temperature interval 70-330 degrees C in a current of nitrogen. The nitrogen significantly reduced the rate of oxidizing processes. Author
